Afrimedia presents: Noella Coursaris- The interview

Her name is Noella Coursaris; her story begins on the blessed and
cursed soil of the Congo where she was brought to this world. Daughter
of a Congolese mother and Cyprus father, this attractive young
lady is making her way in the world of fashion/modeling/photography.
This breathing "burst of energy" also embodies the psychological
qualities that make any human truly beautiful, she is known to be
humble, down to earth, hard working and grateful.
Now those are the qualities of a lady, physical and psychological
attributes must go hand in hand, we all know a bright spirit to
accentuate any external beauty one may have.

Here is some excerpts of the interview that was conducted with her,



Africaincorp: What understanding must we have in order to have a
successful fashion/modeling industry in Africa?
Noella Coursaris: The industry leaders/players must establish a
connection between the masses and the industry, in other words the
fashion industry which help recall, define and direct our sense of
beauty and the aesthetic world we live in.

Africaincorp: How do you prepare for success in the industry?

N.C: Modeling is about hard work; it calls for full time commitment on
the part of the models. The average model must be ready to, wake up
early, do her/his casting chores, and accept rejection and love
traveling.

Africaincorp: do you make use of new technologies such as the internet,social networks and such to benefit your career ?
N.C: I try to make good use of the internet and other web applications, It is important to have a web presence, I have a official website with everything pertaining to my career, in addition to my portfolios and information being available on my agencies websites. I also use extensively E-mails to communicate and find out about present and future projects.
Africaincorp: Iman, one of the first African models to go mainstream,
conquered and left the scene exhibiting positive femineity and grace.
She then ventured in cosmetics and publishing. Did she serve as a
model for you and what are your plans once your modeling years are
over?

N.C: I would say that she was defiantly a source of inspiration; I
will also add Naomi Campbell and Grace Jones to my list. These three
women each impacted the industry and the culture in their own way.
Personally I see modeling as a platform to other culture related
activities such as, TV shows, cultural events. My long-term projects
are both humanitarian and business, I would like to establish
businesses in Congo and Africa. The other project that is very close
to my heart is the building of an orphanage in the Congo.

Africaincorp: Any last word

N.C: yeah!! I would like to Thank my mother, my friends, my late
father (thanks for everything) my management and all that impacted in
the slightest way my career and life. I would like to extend a special
thank you to the Father in heaven for looking down on me, I feel (and
know I am) truly blessed and I am forever grateful.
