Afriurban sound presents: Anofela feat Kaysha- On est ensemble

Anofela the Blackprezo delivers the visual support to the single on his upcoming album.
Enjoy!!
Anofela is signed to Sushiraw records.
The increasing quality of the music production( from a technically standpoint), the music videos's choreographies, colours, scenery and visual effects to a music genre that is inherently Afriurban tells us that the potential for the Afriurban musics to go global is exponential.
Felicitation to the Boss Playa organization for another visual delight.

In the media: The celestine prophecy
Here is the cinematic rendition of the book entitled "The Celestine Prophecy". This book has been a best-read among the Africaincorp staff ,and it is with great delight we announce the straight to DVD release of this bundle of philosophical insights.
See trailer below:
The insights:
1 We live in a deeply mysterious world, full of sudden coincidences and synchronistic encounters that seem destined.
2 As more of us awaken to this mystery, we will create a completely new worldview - redefining the universe as energetic and sacred.
3 We will discover that everything around us, all matter, consists of and stems from a divine energy that we are beginning to see and understand.
4 We can see that humans have always felt insecure and disconnected from this sacred source, and have tried to take energy by dominating each other. This struggle is responsible for all human conflict.
5 The only solution is to cultivate a personal reconnection with the divine, a mystical transformation that fills us with unlimited energy and love, extends our perception of beauty, and lifts us into a Higher-Self Awareness.
6 In this awareness, we can release our own pattern of controlling, and discover a specific truth, a mission, we are here to share that helps evolve humanity toward this new level of reality.
7 In pursuit of this mission, we can discover an inner intuition that shows us where to go and what to do, and if we make only positive interpretations, brings a flow of coincidences that opens the doors for our mission to unfold.
8 When enough of us enter this evolutionary flow, always giving energy to the higher-self of everyone we meet, we will build a new culture where our bodies evolve to ever higher levels of energy and perception.
9 In this way, we participate in the long journey of evolution from the Big Bang to life's ultimate goal: to energize our bodies, generation by generation, until we walk into a heaven we can finally see.

When are we going to have African channels on Youtube ?
Aljazeera launches Youtube channel. Upon reading that news, one can not help but think what are African , Media production firms ,National TV networks,Departments of Tourism and the likes waiting to do the same. They keep crying over spilled milk, The west does not respect us, the west portrays us in a bad light. You are responsible for your own reputation and image. There is a competition at the global level between USA brand, the Euro Brand ,The Nippon Brand and you can add the Brazil,Russia,China,India brand to the lot.
Any brand wishes to enhance its standing in the view of the public and will, if allowed destroy the reputation of the competition( Think of the Coca-cola/Pepsi war or even the US rap artists beef).
There is no time for sentimentality, it is a matter of brand recognition, brand dominance, increased revenue and larger profit margin.
Why do you think FDI's flow to certain regions of the world, why do you think individual investors are reluctant to invest in some foreign stock exchanges ? why do you think native Africans living abroad do not invest in their own Stocks, bonds and real estate( at least as much as they should)markets.
One of the key factor is that the Africa brand's value is not perceptible by the public, only efficient communication would help solve this problem.

Afriupdate: Africahit ventures in the videosharing market

Africahit is finally entering the video-sharing market. The beta version has been up for a minute now.It offers the basic features a Youtube or Dailymotion do . You register for free and you can upload, comment on ,watch and add friends to your network.
Our analysis is that they lost any leverage they had when they first launched the site in 2004 . Why would users unsubscribe from Youtube, Dailymotion, Bebo and other platforms ,which are adding widgets and features at a stormy pace much to the benefits of their end- users.
It will help if they are able to develop territorial monopoly, that is to corner the continental African internet users and convince them to use their platform as more get online. They could also establish key partnerships with African Tv networks/ media productions. It would make sense to me for the winner of the Video sharing site to become to African TV networks, media production, marketers, artists and private individuals what Overdrive is to MTV. If and when the consumers know that they can obtain exclusive content from all these sources in addition to home-made content they will tune into. Do not give them content that they can find on Youtube,Dailymotion,Googlevideo, their bootlegged DVD, satellite/cable TV.

Afribusiness presents: BHF Magazine

Afrimedia previously introduced BHF Magazine, which stands for blessed, and Highly Favored.
The quarterly publication emerges from the mental thrusting of Jennifer and Geoffrey Olisa, who are respectively Publisher in chief and Creator/Artistic director of the newly arrived lifestyle magazine.
BHF enterprise is a brand that will sell the current (accurate) image of Africa.Afriurbania is entering a new age that sees our tastes, aesthetics, lifestyle manifest like no time before. The necessity of archiving modern Africa, the importance of having a visual documentation of our Afriurban culture, lifestyle and specificity in the global heritage, is what is calling for the apparition of this platform.
Georges Olisa the creative director is the owner of a graphic design & photography company in the Washington DC metropolitan area (USA). He reveals that the magazine would not limit itself to fashion models and couturiers, the spectrum of subjects will cover as well, architecture, interior design, gardening, culinary, paintings and every other cultural outlet to African aesthetics.
It seems to us that the culture, which is determined by the people, is undergoing a tremendous change. Are we witnessing the renaissance of us as a culture, finally revamping our heritage and lifestyles? After all cultures or aspect of cultures are sold the world over either in their raw form or processed shape.
Hollywood, French fashion, Italian food, Russian caviar, Thai massage, Swedish Saunas, Chinese Kung-fu, American basketball, Brazilian soccer, Parisian love etc.
We certainly not have to lose ourselves in the process but the right display of our culture would allow the rest of the world to embrace our culture and the ensuing products that would emerge from it.
Think about it, one that has respect for a culture is more open to the idea of tasting and experiencing the flavors, delicacies, goods and the version of the world said culture has to offer.
On the over hand the people of an enhanced and refined culture found themselves experiencing a much richer and fuller life. So it is all to our benefit.
The BHF manifestation of images we hope will not stop at a magazine and online presence. They can and should extend their shadow to all things visuals from fashion, product packaging, interior design to housewares, architecture in the future. They could collaboration between them and established western brands as well as African brands.

Afriupdate: Afriville gets facelift
they have continued to grow since our last update. they've introduced a host of new features including an exciting easily navigatable interface.
Theres a HOT new VIDEOS section for all the hottest and latest videos in the continent and we're currently expanding our collection both in Africa and in the diaspora.
The FORUMS have been given an entire facelift and now only your friends can checkout your profile from within the forums. Meaning you can say whats on your mind without having to reveal anything about yourself.
Finally They are testing a whole new system of Afriville Networks, which will mean we'll have content on the site delivered to you depending on the network you opt in to.
They are currently testing the following networks. Nigeria
UK
USA
By Launch date they should also have Ghana - http://ghana.afriville.com
South Africa - http://southafrica.afriville
This is a revolutionary approach to the market. African social networks claim a lot their Afritude but usually a great majority of the users end up being from the same country. the strategy that copies little bite a Graiglist ,that segments their market per cities, Afriville is segmenting their market by countries or common geographical features.
The marketing of let's say Ghana.Afriville to a native of Ghana is much easier and allows development of specific page features for the consumption of Ghanaians. These customers can still be directed to the main http://afriville.com to interact with other Africans.
Overall it will permit a more precised and clear study of the different types of customers, this will result in better service and ultimately pan-African expansion.
More thoughts on this in a few...

Djafoule Koncept is a Ivorian rap group. They are confirming the trend of ivorianization of the HipHop music in their country. The text are constructed with words, lingo and stories the average Ivorian can relate too. This approach should also have them embraced by the francophone public, as they try to hear more about what it is to be and feel Ivorian.

The coffee book-Anatomy of an industry fromthe crop to the last drop

"The Coffee Book covers coffee from its first use in Ethiopia in the 6th century A.D. to the dramatic rise of Starbucks and other specialty retailers in the 1990s. Written with verve and filled with little-known facts, the book explores the process of cultivation, harvesting, and roasting from bean to cup; surveys the social history of café society from the first coffeehouses in Constantinople to Renaissance French cafés to beatnik havens in Berkeley and Greenwich Village; and tells the dramatic story of international trade and speculation for a product that can make or break entire national economies. The book also examines the industry's major players -- General Foods, Nestlé, Proctor & Gamble ."says the publisher of the book.
Coffee is one of the most profitable commodity( est.500 billion cups consumed annually) with Uganda and Ethiopia being the top African producing countries. The next stage of economic exchange and revenue- sharing cycle to come ,must see African Businesses grab a larger share of the income generated from coffee. One way to do so is to have more capital interest in the Companies involved in the coffee industry's production chain,Transportation,Insurance,Storage,Creditors,Industries,Retailers
They should look locally, regionally and internationally, then either buy equity, buy out or iniate a start up in the sector of interest.By reading this book, the full picture of the interconnection of the socio-economic tissue should become apparent and highlight opportunities not considered before.

Afriurban sounds presents: Akon is taking over

Senegalo-American artist AkonThiam has been tsunaming the global airwaves with Hits after hits for himself and artists such as Gwen Stephani,T-Pain, Young Jeezy,Chilly from TLC,Chamillionaire,T.I.
Enjoy his latest collaboration featured on DJ khaled's summer release " WE THE BEST"
The list of hits produced and co-produced by Akon is seemingly endless and the "million-dollar" question is what would happen to the balance of payment of Senegal if Akon's konvicted imprint was headquartered in Dakar. The production of this intangible good that is music would be moved from Miami,New york to Dakar. The city of Dakar is a cheaper environment to produce from ,and Sound-engineer or any other music engineer for that matter can easily be found in that part of the hemisphere ( or Europe).
Better yet what if the Artist he works with ,have to actually go down in Senegal to do the vocals ( even though technology allows to work from a distance),What would be the creative and cultural impact of such a move ?
The more important aspect of such a move would be felt by the Department of treasury of Senegal when the Copyrights earnings, world tour( concert) earnings, licensing fees, album sales revenues are returned to Senegal-headquartered company.
You do not think so ? you should ask the governor of California about the revenues generated by Hollywood and Pornowood.
What could stimulate such a move, ? Could it be just plain common sense, healthy economic judgement, or financial wisdom ? After all this is strategically the best area to locate oneself, it puts any company in the middle of three markets. You have access to the European market( France,UK,Netherlands,Spain,Germany),an untapped and untouched Afriurban Market( Abidjan,Abuja,Addis-Abeba,Dakar,Maputo,Johannesburg,Casablanca,Libreville,Kampala,Luanda..),and at a fair distance of the largest consumer of musical entertainment after Japan, the United States.
From an economic stand point it is like outsourcing to a country that offers fair/cheap infrastructure, labor and flexible fiscal rules.
Communication and exchange should not be a problem for there is technology such as Skype,Sharepoint,Cellphones,Airplanes that shorten time and space.

Afribusiness: Africa Select- African securities

Africanselect was "Launched in 2006 with the goal to go beyond just creating an awareness of African Stock Markets but also offer a technologically advanced platform that allows African and international retail and corporate investors to take part in investment opportunities across the continent."
This business could be added to the likes of LiquidAfrica, and Africanlion.com.
The one question that has been raised during our team meeting was the following: how can such company leverage the aggregating power of social networks such as facebook,MyspaceAfrica,Afriville,Myafricasite,Edumela and Hi5 among others to reach out to the huge number of young african professionals and entice them to find interest in the Real estate, securities markets of Africa.
The reality is that many young individuals with disposal income, stay oblivious to the opportunities laying in the open in Africa. The incomes they generate in the western world is sufficient to make them potent players on these markets more so than in the American or European markets.
So let's harness this investment power and channel the money into long-term assets that will serve as the basis of economic growth and also ensure financial control of our economies. The market economy is all about ownership after all, the hardest workers are not sure to reap the full harvest of their efforts unless there is profit sharing.
